Rashaad Reynolds, Oregon State – CB – 5th Round:
The Chargers took a look at scrappy 5’10” / 189 lb. cornerback Rashaad Reynolds earlier this year. Obviously, he is another undersized cornerback. But, that doesn’t seem to bother the Bolts, apparently. If they are versatile, and can produce, then they could get “the nod”. Reynolds is expected to go between the 4th & 5th round. He plays well in off-man coverage, and also played well against pass-happy teams in the pac-12. He is a disciplined tackler, which is extremely important for our team. He lacks zone awareness, and isn’t that great at press coverage, either. Furthermore, he isn’t going to make up for his size, by jumping up for the ball. He was a pretty good special teams gunner during college, and was voted a team captain, though. He can contribute, but probably more as a run-stuffing nickelback.
