Jemea Thomas, Georgia Tech: – CB – 5th Round:

Thomas is a solid tackler in the run game, and doesn’t mind sacrificing his body to do it. He plays aggressively, and physically. He has quite a few interceptions to his name, has returned a punt or two, and even played some running back. He showed good vision, and toughness returning kickoffs. He is hard-working, accountable, and has never missed a game. He plays well in the short zone game, and is versatile enough to play a depth role at safety. He is probably not going to put on much more muscle in the weight room, as he seems maxed-out already. He will only be a depth guy, but he has the work ethic to stick around in the NFL for a long time. If he slips into the 6th, we could do worse. Seems like we have enough nickelbacks already, though.
