Round 3)
Brock Vereen SS- And here is the surprise trigger that Telesco is going to pull on us. He will draft a Safety with a high draft pick. Why draft Brock Vereen when we have Jahleel Addae and Brandon Taylor (Taylor doesn’t really count since he can’t get on the field)? The answer is simple. Versatility. He can play Strong Safety at a high level, but he can also play as an outside corner AND as a nickel corner. 3 positions out of 1 player? That is a great opportunity for the Chargers and a huge plus for our defense.
***Other Possibility*** Trai Turner OG – The Chargers will play it safe and draft a Guard who will eventually take Jeromey Clary’s place in probably the same season. Trai Turner is very strong, has really long arms and can move. We can’t go wrong with this pick, Telesco should be happy that one of the top 5 offensive guards was able to fall to us with our 3rd rounder.
