Round 5: Pick 12 (145)
Steve Williams, CB

Selection Position: (33.5 value points) Like last round, mid-round pick in a weak draft, the Chargers had to look for depth. The secondary is the obvious choice and has not been addressed yet except for the signing of Derek Cox, which may have given TT and co. a false sense of security with the cornerback group.

Value Added: He did not suit up for a game in 2013 after going down with a torn pectoral in the preseason. He is the fastest dude on the team and will likely challenge for the nickel spot.

Opportunity Cost: Steve is probably the best value they could have gained here. Brandon McGee (CB) was faster in to 40, and is much bigger and stronger, but again, we don’t even know what Steve Williams is.
