One Chargers free agent that the team would likely want to bring back is Rich Ohrnberger. There is talk that some teams are looking at him as a possible starting offensive guard or center for their teams, per Rand Getlin. He was a good backup for Nick Hardwick on offense, but with Hardwick returning for another season, he would likely be a backup on our roster.
He was a valuable piece on the depth chart for the Chargers. He came in and played center for the Chargers in the playoffs and the team didn’t skip a beat with him in the lineup.
If he has an opportunity to sign on with another roster as a starter, then he might as well take that opportunity. We could give him that opportunity on the right side. Right? Nobody wants to overpay for their right guard anyway.
Would any of you rather have Ohrnberger starting on the right side of the line or Jeromey Clary? Pretty sure I know what the Bolt Beat fam thinks on this one, but I figured I would ask anyway.
