Jackson Jeffcoat coming out of Texas. He’s a very good athlete, most of his sacks were because of good coverage. May not be very strong against the run, but nothing the gym can’t handle.
3 Stars 3rd round projection
Demarcus Lawrence out of Boise State usually plays faster than his 40 yard dash at the combine implies. He has long arms that keeps plays in front of him. Does a little too much reading into plays instead of reacting on instincts.
3 Stars 3rd round projection
Will Clarke out of West Virgina. This 4-3 defensive end has the potential to dominate a game. He uses those long arms to get leverage and could possibly play in the 3-4. He is in need of a supporting cast.
3 stars 3-4th round projection
Chris Smith coming out of Arkansas with decent straight line speed and sometimes shows a good bull rush abilities. Last player to get off the line of scrimmage does not have a special rushing move.
2 Stars 3-4th round projection
James Gayle out of Virgina Tech has average fluidity, burst and speed. Uses these mixtures of combo moves: spin, swim and bull rush. He needs to play balanced in space because he misses tackles in space.
3 1/2 Stars 4th round projections
Adrian Hubbard out of Alabama is more of a run stuffer than rusher. He’s not much of an athlete and looks to stiff in his hips.
2 Stars 4th round projections
Prince Shembo from Notre Dame has shown discipline and field awareness. He is always giving his full effort by throwing his hands to get off blocks. Needs improvement when being double covered.
3 stars 4-5th round projections
Morgan Breslin out of USC with a good burst and awareness is more quick than fast, his playing style resembles Thomas Keiser of the Chargers. He underwent hip surgery in November, would be good to sit out for the year and learn.
3 1/2 stars 5th round projections
Aaron Lynch of South Florida is a 4-3 defensive end. Physical athlete, good speed and a moderate burst off the line. According to Derek Stephens of CBS sports, Aaron may lack desire and have commitment issues.
2 stars 6th round projections
