Green Bay Packers WR James Jones is a free agent and he would love to return to the Packers, but he did mention the San Diego Chargers as a team that he would fit well with.
The Chargers are looking to add a wide receiver this offseason. We still are waiting on the status of Malcom Floyd, but the team still would want to get someone on the roster as insurance for that situation.
Here is James Jones thoughts of where he could end up in the offseason:
“I’ve thought about places that I would like to go play, whether it’s in Indy or there’s coming back home, San Diego or somewhere. Teams have popped up in my head. I can’t say I haven’t thought about it, but in a perfect world I’d love to go back (to Green Bay).” – nfl.com
Jones is a solid receiver and would be a good threat in the red zone for the Chargers. He wouldn’t be my favorite option to add to the Chargers, but I wouldn’t hate it either.
I don’t know if the Chargers want to spend that much money on a receiver at this time in the offseason. They can get a good receiver in the draft and can focus that money on the defensive side of the ball.
