Before being suspended, Browner was battling a groin injury for much of last season. So why would the Chargers have interest in Browner? Prior to landing on the injury report, The former Seattle Seahawk was graded by Profootball Focus’ as the No.35 ranked corner in the league in 2013. Still 29 years old, Browner is a massive cornerback, standing 6’4 at 221 pounds. Posting career stats of 117 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 10 interceptions, Browner could bring an immediate physical impact to a cornerback position that was made thin by the Chargers on Tuesday.
I believe the down season that Browner had in 2013, coupled with the off field issue with the NFL, could make Browner available at the right price for the Chargers. With the other 31 teams in the league trying to find the next “Richard Sherman” and searching for the bigger bodied prototype cornerback, without a doubt, Browner fits that mold.
What say you Charger fans? What do you think of the possibility of Browner joining the Bolts?
