Add Johnny Patrick onto the list of players that have been cut loose by the San Diego Chargers today. Patrick was also signed by Tom Telesco last offseason, but wasn’t a big money signing like Derek Cox was. Patrick ended the season on the injured reserve.

Patrick was depth on the roster and was one of the players that got an opportunity to get some playing time while Derek Cox was playing awful.
With Patrick’s release, the team freef up $700k in cap room. Patrcik didn’t have any guaranteed money on his deal, so there is no cap hit for his release.
The Chargers are clearing up some spots on their roster. They are clearing up a little bit of money under the cap to make a run at some players in free agency. Who will the Chargers get after in free agency?
