The details on the deal have not been released at the moment, but at least we know that Butler will be manning the middle of the defense next season with Manti Te’o and the rest of the crew.
It feels good to keep one of our own players. It seems like a long time sinve we had been able to do that.
Butler is one of the better players on the Chargers defense and it would have hurt to lose him to free agency. He has said a number of times that he wanted to remain with the Chargers. He is locked in to a deal now. Let’s wait to see what it cost the team to keep him around.
