The Green Bay Packers are going to let B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett walk in free agency this offseason. Both have been productive players in the past, but they have not been as productive as of late. Since Pickett is getting up there in age and Raji’s production has taken a little bit of a slip, they will fit in our small budget.

Both players are big bodies that can be plugged into the middle of our defense at the nose tackle position. The defensive coaching staff would have to raise the production out of them, but they could be interested in a job with the San Diego Chargers since the starting nose tackle position is up for grabs. They could get an opportunity to get a lot of playing time and they would get quite a contrast in weather.

The Chargers will need to find someone to fill that nose tackle spot on the roster. Raji and Pickett definitely will be options that Tom Telesco will have to explore. Could one of these be headed down to Southern California in the near future?
