The San Diego Chargers have signed CFL standout DE Cordarro Law today. Law had 14 sacks in the CFL and was released by his team so that he could sign on with an NFL team. He was drawing a lot of interest from NFL teams for his ability to get after the quarterback.

As expected, the Stamps have lost DE Cordarro Law to the NFL, as he signs with the San Diego Chargers as per Farhan Lalji. #CFL #CFLFA14

The Miami Dolphins struck gold when they picked up Cameron Wake from the CFL and the Chargers are hoping to find similar success. Law is 25 years old and was an undrafted free agent in 2012 coming out of Mississippi. He had 9.5 sacks with the Golden Eagles, but was unable to catch on with a roster. He got his chance in the CFL and was able to pick up 14 sacks and got recognized by the league.

He was with the Seattle Seahawks in the preseason of 2012 and didn’t make the cut. He signed on with the CFL and was able to play the final 2 games for the Stampeders and recorded a sack and a couple of tackles. In the 2013 season, he finished 3rd in the CFL with 14 sacks.

Hopefully Law will be able to add some pass rush to our defense. We are desperate for some help in that department and it seems that Law will get a good shot to make the roster.
