We mentioned Stanley Jean-Baptiste as a player to watch at the Senior Bowl yesterday and it looks like the Chargers scouts met with him today to dig up some information on him:

Baptiste is a big, physical corner that was converted from a wide receiver and has been receiving praise for his performance at the Senior Bowl practices. Here is what people are saying about him:

Liked Stanley Jean-Baptiste’s film quite a bit. Issue was how athletic/fluid he was. This week he’s shown well. Rd 1 pick wouldn’t surprise

Really digging Stanley Jean-Baptiste in coverage in 11 on 11. Safety perhaps?

I’m becoming a fan of Nebraska’s Stanley Jean-Baptiste. He’s large, and appears to have pretty decent range. I’m thinking free safety.

Jean-Baptiste would not be a safety in out system. We would want him on our roster in order to be a corner. We would want him to line up across from receivers and shut them down. If he is going to play safety, then we wouldn’t want him.
