How about that San Diego Chargers defense? John Pagano, I owe you a bit of an apology for this season. Obviously you were handcuffed with the roster that you were given earlier in the year.

Melvin Ingram played huge for the defense. He was all over the field playing physical and making plays. How huge has his return been this year? His athleticism was huge on defense. He put pressure on Andy Dalton. He was hitting players hard any time he was near them and he intercepted Dalton to top it all off.

Shareece Wright had one of his best games on defense covering A.J. Green and shutting him down. He picked off Andy Dalton as well.

The defense was more physical than the Bengals. Remember when we used to be called a soft football team? Adding players like Jarret Johnson and Melvin Ingram on the defense has been huge. Donald Butler was all over the field on defense as well.

Philip Rivers just had to manage the offense and make sure that they didn’t make any stupid plays. Philip Rivers was efficient and moved the football down the field. Ryan Mathews was big in his time on the field. He was picking up big chunks of yards and running over defenders. Hopefully he is healthy for the game against the Denver Broncos. He will needed against them. He has had some of his best games against the Broncos in his career.

They announced that he was taken out of the game as part of the running back rotation, but we all know that there was too much Ronnie Brown and Danny Woodhead during that part of the game. Ronnie Brown made the huge run to put the game out of reach in the 4th quarter though for the score.

Now we will get ready to head to Denver, Colorado to face those Denver Broncos! LET’S GO!!!!
