The San Diego Chargers are still alive and the Philadelphia Eagles fairy tale still is alive.
If you don’t know the fairy tale, here is a bit of a run down. Whoever has played the Eagles in their home opener in the last 4 seasons has gone on to win the Super Bowl.
Can the Chargers make it happen for the 5th straight season? Amazing that the Chargers are still alive. It looks like the football gods were smiling down on the Chargers yesterday though. With the Kansas City Chiefs missing a 41-yard field goal, to the refs missing a penalty call on the field goal, then the fake punt call and the refs calling Eric Weddle down on forward progress. Those are just the things that happened in the game. The Chargers also needed some luck to go their way before the game even started and they were able to get things to fall their way again.
The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Miami Dolphins lost to the New York Jets. The Chargers needed every little thing to go right on Sunday and EVERY LITTLE THING went our way! We didn’t even play well on Sunday, but we were able to come out with a win and a spot in the playoffs.
