The San Diego Chargers are in the playoffs and they will travel to Cincinnati for the first round of the playoffs to take on the Bengals. The Bengals are the 3rd seed in the AFC and have already beaten the Chargers once this season. That was the last time the Chargers had lost.
The Bengals pounded the football with the running game against the Chargers the last time and will likely be looking to take that same gameplan into the playoffs. The Chargers have made some adjustments to their defense since that game and have done better at stopping the running game. They had some struggles against the Chiefs on Sunday, but this is a new game.
The Chargers also have relied on their running game a lot more since the last time they faced against the Bengals. Ryan Mathews has been carrying the load for the Chargers and making big plays on offense.
The offense will have to rely on Philip Rivers to be efficient and for his receivers to make some big catches.
