Manti Te’o is getting better and better as the season progresses. Definitely a good sign for the defense next season and for the close of this year. He was struggling in his first few starts as a pro. He missed a lot of tackles and had trouble getting off of blocks. He is getting better. He almost had his first pick of the season against Eli Manning last week and he has made a number of plays on the field. It is nice to see him get a little more comfortable on defense.

Is it a coincidence that his two best games have come with Sean Lissemore used primarily as the team’s nose tackle?

Te’o has definitely stepped up and should continue to get better on defense. He is around the football often and is making the play when he gets to the football. There were so many times earlier in the year that he would get to the football, but miss the play. He is getting better.

I am expecting him to get that first interception soon. I will predict it to happen on Thursday against Peyton.
