The San Diego Chargers are learning new things with every week. They started getting Ladarius Green more plays and that has paid off with his production on the field.  They also started getting the ball to Ryan Mathews on short yardage situations and that paid off big against the Kansas City Chiefs. They gave him the ball on 4th and inches, 3rd and 1, goal line situations and he came away with first downs or the score every single time.

Ryan Mathews is a tough runner between the tackles and he rarely loses yards on his carries. The dive over the pile in the end zone is something that he can do all the time. I just wish that they had tried it once against the Washington Redskins.

They even gave him more opportunities in the red zone. They are learning more and more how to use Ryan Mathews to their advantage and it could mean more points on the scoreboard for the rest of the year. We need all the points that we can get with our defense playing like crap.

Keep pounding Ryan.
