Seyi Ajirotutu only made one catch, but it was a huge catch for the Chargers on Sunday and it was one more catch than Vincent Brown on Sunday. It might be time to get more reps for Ajirotutu on offense. We had been asking for Ladarius Green to get more looks on offense and it looks like the team has started getting him more involved. Now we are on Tutu watch.
Vincent Brown has been struggling on offense to get open against coverage. Teams have looked to double Antonio Gates or shade their secondary toward Keenan Allen more and more, but Brown has not been able to produce. We need someone who can break free and stretch the defense. We need another wide receiver to produce. Ajirotutu could be that guy. We should at least give him the opportunity to see if he is.
It is crazy to see that number 16 on the field, but this number 16 might be able to make some plays down the stretch for us.
