The San Diego Chargers are set to add WR Dan DePalma onto the practice squad. He will be flying to San Diego on Tuesday morning in order to join the team, per Michael Gehlken. He was with the team during training camp and was having a good camp and was a fan favorite while he was on the squad.

I think that he could be a good candidate to make the 53 man roster too. He is a good route runner and had some reliable hands. The Chargers have only activated 4 wide receivers the last few games with Lavelle Hawkins set as inactive a few times. If DePalma can contribute on special teams, he could be the kickoff specialist. He also could be someone to help out at the receiver spot.

The guy works hard and is a good player to have on the practice squad. While with the Giants, many players thought he was one of the best receivers on the team and that his roles on the practice squad helped them prepare for players like Wes Welker.

I like the move.
