The San Diego Chargers linebacking unit just got a little worse today. The Chargers had to place LB Larry English on season ending IR today. English had been solid at outside lineabacker for the Chargers, but his season has come to an early end again.

The Chargers have to hope that Jarret Johnson will be able to stay healthy for the rest of the season or they will have to start Tourek Williams and Thomas Keiser off of the edge. I like those guys, but they shouldn’t be starting linebackers. The Chargers added former Denver Broncos LB Adrian Robinson onto the roster to help with the depth on the roster.

If the Chargers are able to jump into this playoff race in the next couple of weeks, they could get the help of Melvin Ingram back on the roster. He is on the PUP list right now and is eligible to come back, but he still is rehabbing from his injury. He needs some time to get in football shape or he will just get hurt all over again.

The Chargers are hurting bad for some depth at linebacker. I wonder what Sam Montgomery is doing right now?
