Donald Butler had another day of mental practice on Friday before the team travels out to Washington. Butler has not practiced the whole week and will likely be on the sideline this weekend against the Redskins. I wonder what his availability will be for the game against Denver. He has not been able to get on the practice field for a long time now and some rust has to be setting in on him.

Butler has been out since week 5 of the season. He last played in week 5 against the Oakland Raiders, but he has not been able to practice since then. That is going to be a solid month of him on the sideline without getting any reps. He will have to play some catch up and players like Reggie Walker and Andrew Gachkar have to stay prepped to play in the middle of the defense. They have done a decent job in the Butler’s absence, but we would love to have our middle linebacker in the game soon.

Eddie Royal had another mental rep day of practice also. He will likely be a game time decision for the game, but I expect him to get on the field and play. He didn’t practice against the Jaguars, but he still got on the field and produced against them that weekend. It will be interesting to see how they do.
