Here is the list of Chargers players that need to step up this weekend against the Oakland Raiders.
Philip RiversFirst player on the roster that needs to step up is Philip Rivers. If he plays the way that he has been playing this season, then we will have nothing to worry about. Rivers has been playing at a level that is out of this world. Last week he put up 400+ passing yards and 3 touchdowns in the game. If he plays well, the other guys on the roster will put up big time numbers as well.
Manti Te’oTe’o should see a lot more action this weekend and he will have to keep his eyes on Terrelle Pryor throughout the game. Pryor will take his opportunities to scramble and it will be up to the defense to stop him from picking up big time yards. Te’o will be one of the players that will be asked to stop Pryor.
Corey LiugetLiuget has spoken out and said that the defense is coming after Pyror and they are not going to feel bad about it. They are going to get after Pryor and someone has to step up in the pass rush game with Dwight Freeney out.
Larry EnglishLarry boy gets the start with Dwight Freeney out and needs to step up big time in the pass rush department. Freeney was one player on the roster that was able to provide pressure on the quarterback. English is the new person that needs to get after it.
Eric WeddleAnother defensive player on this list of Chargers that need to step up. It will be up to the defensive playmakers to start making plays. Eric Weddle is one of the few playmakers on the defensive side of the football and he will have to make some great things happen.
