The San Diego Chargers need several players to step their games up. Here are a list of players that we need some premiere performances for us to win against the Dallas Cowboys.
CB Derek Cox – He will be matched up with Dez Bryant for most of the game. We have seen what other receivers have done to our secondary. We will need Cox to step his game up and finally slow down one of those premiere names that faces our defense.
Middle Backers – This will be the first time that Manti Te’o and Donald Butler will line up together since the preseason and they will have to slow down Demarco Murray and the Cowboys running game. Murray ran for 175 yards last week against the St. Louis Rams. The Chargers better be prepared to slow down that offense.
Corey Liuget – After all that talk about knowing how to stop the Dallas defense, he better be the first one to be in the backfield to hit Tony Romo over and over again. Rattle him like he has been saying. Need the young man to step up and make some plays on defense.
Keenan Allen or/and Vincent Brown – With Malcom Floyd out, one of the receivers need to step up and make plays on offense. Someone has to stretch the field for Philip Rivers. Danny Woodhead, Eddie Royal and Antonio Gates will make their catches, we need one of the other guys to step up and make plays.
Philip Rivers – Keep composure. The offensive line is battered and Philip is going to take some hits. He needs to get right back up and keep making plays. Don’t get rattled.
This will be arguably the toughest matchup so far this season for San Diego so make sure to get your Cowboys vs Chargers tickets from to cheer on the Bolts this Sunday. Hopefully the above players will shine and it will be money well spent.
