Manti Te’o Limited In Practice. Didn’t Test Foot Too Much

Aug 8, 2013; San Diego, CA, USA; San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te
Manti Te’o stepped onto the practice field for the first time since injuring it in the first game of the preseason, but was limited in practice. He says that he didn’t test his foot fully during practice because he didn’t want to risk a setback.
He worked in individuals, worked on cutting and change of direction. It was more about getting his feet wet again.
Coach McCoy said that he showed some rust on the field, but that is understandable since he hasn’t been on the field since the first week of preseason.
Mike McCoy also said that he expects Donald Butler to start practicing this week. He has been listed with a groin injury. Coach seems more optimistic about Butler playing this week over Manti getting back to action this week.
It seems that the best plan for Manti’s return would have him back on the field for Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys.
