Time to look at that 53 man roster again. Here we go:
Quarterbacks (3) QB1 Philip Rivers QB2 Charlie Whitehurst QB3 Brad Sorensen
Notes: Whitehurst still could be an odd man out here, because we will need to offset the money for cutting Robert Meachem somewhere. We can’t afford to keep Robert around. We also could use that roster spot for an extra corner or defensive linemen.
Runningbacks (5) RB1 Ryan Mathews RB2 Danny Woodhead RB3 Ronnie Brown RB4 Fozzy Whittaker FB2 Leron McClain
Notes: Why didn’t we give Edwin Baker a little more time on the roster? SIGH. I guess we are going to keep Ronnie Brown on the roster. At least he can block a little bit.
Tight Ends (3) TE1 Antonio Gates TE2 John Phillips TE3 Ladarius Green
Notes: Can we get Ladarius to play with the ones yet? Maybe he s a secret weapon that Ken Whisenhunt is keeping in the toolbox.
Wide Receivers (5) WR1 Malcom Floyd WR2 Vincent Brown WR3 Eddie Royal WR4 Keenan Allen WR5 Seyi Ajirotutu
Notes: Philip Rivers has so much comfort throwing the football to Seyi. It is crazy. He makes plays on the field and we need as many playmakers as we can get. He makes the cut over Mike Willie.
Offensive Linemen (9) LT1 King Dunlap LG1 Chad Rinehart C1 Nick Hardwick RG1 Jeromey Clary RT1 DJ Fluker T Max Starks T Mike Harris G/C Stephen Schilling G/C Rich Ohrnberger
Notes: Mike Harris got the call when King Dunlap went down and looked good. Need to keep him around on the roster.
