Keenan Allen and Eddie Royal were wide open on a few plays but Philip missed them. Not a good sign for Philip, but he will be able to see it again on film and notice that those guys can beat their man. He needs to trust them. He threw to Antonio Gates on the plays instead of getting the ball out to them on the plays when they were wide open. Vincent Brown was wide open deep on the play he got sacked on… or at least that is what they say. I din’t have an angle to see it.
D.J. Fluker is a beast run blocker. He is going to make things so much better running on the right side. Chad Rinehart does a good job of pulling to the right side also. Can’t say the same for Jeromey Clary pulling to the left side (but this is the silver lining post).
Ladarius Green is looking more and more like he will be a threat on offense. Not sure in which capacity the team will use him, but he has shown that he can beat linebackers and make plays in the passing game. Have to find a way to get the mismatch on the field.
