Von Miller’s was arrested over the weekend for a warrant which was issued on January 2nd. Apparently, the warrant was for a failure to appear in court after careless driving, driving without a license and driving without proof of insurance. This might be a minor arrest, but taking into consideration the pending 4-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy, Miller is on downward media spiral that former Charger Shawne Merriman became entangled in. Von Miller is a feared pass-rusher teamed on the Chargers rival, the Denver Broncos. Having Miller as an opponent makes the game more competitive, but if he does become distracted this gives the Chargers an edge.
When the Chargers lost Merriman we never recovered from finding a worthy pass rusher to pair with former Charger Shaun Phillips. Could the Broncos be headed in a similar path of destruction? What do you think might be happening?
