Vincent Brown had to sit out his 5th straight practice with a hamstring injury. This is cutting into his reps with Philip Rivers and the first team offense. He is allowing players like Keenan Allen and Eddie Royal to steal those extra reps and steal the spotlight. Both players have been getting good reviews during practices.
Injuries to Vincent Brown during training camp has been the norm. This is his third training camp and he has been injured in all 3 of them. He loses valuable reps on offsense and allows others to get playing time.
If Brown misses any more practices, the team might want to sit him in the first preseason game against the Seahawks on Thursday. That will be a huge opportunity for Keenan Allen or Eddie Royal to move up the depth chart.
I hope Vincent Brown can get back on the practice field soon. I wish he wasn’t hampered by an injury every time we went into training camp. Get well soon Vincent, we have a lot of high hopes for you.
