Things got a little chippy in practice today when rookie Melvin Ingram got into it with Andrew Szczerba. As one story goes, Szczerba ripped off the helmet of Melvin Ingram and swung it at him. I have not seen video of that, but there are a couple of videos of the event.

My favorite part of the video is when Shaun Phillips steps up for the rookie and takes Szczerba down. The veterans on the defense stepped up to take their shots on the Cowboys.

About ten minutes later in practice, Quentin Jammer blew up a Cowboys receiver. You can check out the video on CBS Los Angeles.

Maybe this could be a spark that the team needed going into the season.
