The San Diego Chargers offensive line is getting hit hard. LT Jared Gaither has been out for a majority of training camp with back spasms. Tyronne Green missed practice yesterday for unknown reasons and the latest injury is to Pro Bowl C Nick Hardwick.
Hardwick suffered a concussion in the morning practice on Tuesday against the Dallas Cowboys and had to leave early. His status is considered day-to-day and could miss the game on Friday against the Minnesota Vikings. We don’t need any more injuries to the offense.
The offensive line already looks shaky at best and now we might have to play this next game without our veteran in the middle.
Someone wrap Philip Rivers in bubble wrap, because this sounds like it could get ugly. Better take the snap and just hand it off to the running backs or this could be a good day to test out that wildcat offense. Keep Philip alive!
