The left side of the offensive line is beaten with injuries right now. Jared Gaither has only practiced once since training camp began and there is no knowing when he will return. It seems that reporters have been saying “later this week” for the last couple of weeks. With Gaither out, undrafted rookie free agent MIke Harris is getting the reps with the first team. He has gotten a lot of reps with the first unit.

Today, Tyronne Green was unable to practice and he had his foot in a boot because he got stepped on. In his absence, veteran Rex Hadnot stepped in with the first team. He should be back practicing soon though.

Rex Hadnot and MIke Harris: those are a couple of names that you would not have thought to see on the first team a couple of weeks ago.

GET HEALTHY! The depth on the offensive line is weak. We have an undrafted rookie that was battling with a guy that was not in the league last season for snaps at left tackle. Now the undrafted free agent is getting first team snaps and we go one level deeper on the very thin depth chart.
