Well, that statement doesn’t make Vincent Jackson a prima donna, but it sure questions his ability to judge talent around the league. I will definitely send him an invite to join a fantasy football league though!
Here is what Vincent told the Tampa Bay Times:
“We were a little more flashy as far as the names go (in San Diego), but I think we’re just as talented here all the way across the board.” Jackson said Monday. “We have tight ends, running backs and obviously, Josh Freeman, and he’s a quarterback I think should be mentioned among the top five in the league.” – Tampa Bay Times
First off, Freeman a top-5 quarterback in the league? Maybe he meant Top-5 quarterback that he has played with. Maybe he tossed back a couple of brews before he made this statement. Drinking and driving is bad, but drinking and interviewing just is dumb.
Back to the first statement: the Chargers are more flashy with the names at the skill positions then the Tampa Bay Bucs are, BUT they have wide receivers, running backs and tight ends… that shall remain nameless.
Name a running back, tight end and receiver (not named Vincent Jackson) on their roster without looking it up? Go ahead, give it a try!
