As my dad and I were watching last night’s game, we were pleasantly surprised with how solid Jarret Lee looked. On at least three series he drove the offense right down the field. He commanded the huddle well and threw nice balls. While he wasn’t perfect and at some points looked like a rookie, for an undrafted free agent I was happy. He threw a nice deep ball and had good accuracy. In my opinion I think our backups should be Jarret Lee and Kevin O’Connell with Clipboard Jesus being cut. He has to do it again againstDallason Saturday and if he makes it to week 4 of the preseason I’ll be happy. The 49ers defense will give the offense a good test and with Phil Rivers only going a series or two in the final game of the preseason, we should get to see what this kid is really made of. For his first real game experience 15/22, 235 yards, and a td is beyond expectations. Norv must be smiling somewhere knowing he may have a young man to groom into a quarterback. Tell me what you all think about Jarret Lee and his performance so far. Thanks for reading.
