Tonight, fans were able to see the Chargers under the lights in Qualcomm stadium. Those same fans might have seen starting wide receiver Robert Meachem leave practice early with a possible injury to his right knee. Meachem had surgery on that same knee in the offseason. Coach Norv Tuner said that he doesn’t think it is anything serious though, but it will be something we keep out eyes on. The Chargers are already without wide receiver Eddie Royal in practice because of an injury.

Also, corner Antoine Cason had to end his night early with soreness. With Cason out and Marcus Gilchrist already sitting sideline, Shareece Wright took the first team snaps. Sounds like we should get that veteran corner in camp sooner, rather than later.

One player returning to practice was RB Ryan Mathews. Mathews was in a car accident a couple of nights ago and was taken to the hospital. He sat out practice yesterday, but was back on the field tonight and reports say that he looked fine out there.
