The 2012 San Diego Chargers home schedule begins with two great games in the NFL preseason. During the first two weeks, San Diego will host the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, giving fans a great look at two potential NFC playoff teams. Both games will also serve as barometers for where the current Chargers roster stands.

SAN DIEGO – With all the offseason changes – and the urgency of getting back to the playoffs – Norv Turner thinks the competition to make the 53-man roster will be the hardest since he took over the San Diego Chargers in 2007.

Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf could spend 15 months locked down in Montana, first in a secure drug treatment facility and then in a pre-release living center as part of a judge’s sentence following Leaf’s guilty plea for breaking into a house and illegally possessing painkillers.
