Morning Dump

By Ernie Padaon

Tim Tebow, the New York Jets backup quarterback to Mark Sanchez, will be spending Father’s Day on the San Diego Chargers home field, delivering a sermon “encouraging men to live, love and lead” as part of a service hosted by the Shadow Mountain Community Church, according to Michael David Smith of NBCSports:

In an incident that is both scary and sad, former San Diego Chargers and Seattle Seahawks defensive back Kevin Ellison has been arrested and charged with setting his Liberty Lake, Wash., apartment on fire on June 14. Ellison, who has been charged in federal court, allegedly told investigators that he set the fire because “God” told him to.

The Chargers wide receiver is currently best known for his flashes on special teams, but he’s out to change that this year, working to become a more well-rounded and consistent player.
