The Chargers must be targeting one of these veteran runningbacks to fill that backup role. We went all the way through the draft and didn’t select a runningback until the 7th round. I don’t really think we would be trusting in Edwin Baker to be the backup runningback. Who could this veteran be?

We already had brought in former Kansas City Chief Jackie Battle for a visit. and he left without a contract offer, but he still remains a possibility. With the draft completed, it is time for us to bring in the final pieces to complete this roster. Here are a few names of veteran backs that are available:

My two favorite possibilities are Justin Forsett and Ronnie Brown (which likely means that we won’t sign either of them).

Brown would be an awesome veteran to add to the team. He has a ton of experience as a starter and has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.

Forsett has the “moves like Jagger”… don’t really know what it means, but all the kids are saying it and I like it! For this instance, it means that he has those Darren Sproles like abilities to make defenders look silly. He can take a screen pass for huge gains and always has the ability to bring it to the house when he gets in the open field.

We are still waiting for this back. Who could it be? Or are you fine with the rookie options that we just brought in?
