The Chargers went to work immediately after the draft to sign undrafted free agents and one of the players will join the Bolts with critics coming from the New York Giants already. The Giants selected LSU WR Reuben Randle in the second round of the draft and the Giants director of scouting Marc Ross had this to say about Randle’s production in college:

“The way LSU plays, they run the ball, they play defense and those two quarterbacks, to be quite honest, are not very good. So he didn’t get a lot of chances”

…So tell us how you really feel about the quarterbacks from LSU. This is what I hear from that statement, “Randle would have been awesome if he didn’t have suck a crappy quarterback throwing him the ball!!! We got a steal in the draft and all you other teams are stupid for not recognizing his talents! We are the Super Bowl Champs and you guys are just playing for second place!” You don’t hear the same thing?

Lee will be competing to make it as the third quarterback on the roster behind Philip Rivers and Charlie Whitehurst. He will have a tough road in front of him, but the Chargers decided not to keep a third quarterback on the roster for the past couple of seasons.

The only time I want to see this kid on the field is during the pre-season anyway! If he kills it in the preseason, then he will just steal a roster spot from someone that will end up signing with the Dallas Cowboys and end up becoming a huge playmaker that  we were missing throughout the season.
