Here is the summary of another crazy week in the Chargers offseason. It was the week of the draft and we have to start with those 2012 NFL Draft picks that we can welcome to America’s Finest City:

Round 1: Melvin Ingram, DE, South CarolinaRound 2: Kendall Reyes, DE, ConnecticutRound 3:  Brandon Taylor, SS, LSURound 4: Ladarius Green, TE, Louisiana-LafayetteRound 5: Johnnie Troutman, OG, Penn StateRound 7: David Molk, C, MichiganRound 7: Edwin Baker, RB, Michigan State

Right after the draft, the team was not done and had to work the phones to bring in the undrafted guys. Here is the list of players that we have so far:

Phillip Payne, WR, UNLVTaylor Embree, WR, UCLAMichael Hayes, RB, Houston CougarsDeandre Presley, CB, Appalacian StateJosh Linam, ILB, Central FloridaJason Barnes, WR, South CarolinaCharles Burton, OL, MontanaJarrett Lee, QB, LSUEddie Brown, DT, Texas A&MPaul Cox, WR, Miss Valley StAdonis Thomas, RB, ToledoChristian Tupou, DT, USCMike Harris, OG, UCLALogan Harrell, DT, Fresno StateHubert Anyiam, WR, OK StateGreg Gaston, DB, ArkansasNick Guess, LS, TennesseeMohamad Marah, FB, San JoseMichael Willie, WR, ASUCordell Bell, OL, Minn StSean Catthouse, SS, Cal

Which one of the guys will be our next undrafted free agent star?  Last season Darryl Gamble found a way onto the roster and I am sure that someone here will make it onto the final roster.

Other than the draft this week, the Chargers met for their first voluntary offseason workout programs of the season. The most notable names that were not in attendance were Takeo Spikes, Mike Scifres and Nate Kaeding. The attendance was great for the program otherwise. It was a good time for the newly signed players to meet their new teammates.
