After the first round complete, let’s start looking at what is available today. There are still some nice players that are available that could make an impact with the Chargers. Let’s run through a quick list and hope that they are available when we choose again:

Janoris Jenkins, CB, North AlabamaHe is a problem child off of the field, but this guy is one of the best cover corners in the draft. He is not an AJ type guy, so I should probably just shut up now.

Cordy Gleen, OT, GeorgiaThere were some that projected the Chargers selecting Glenn with the 18th pick in the draft. We are in the second round now and he is still available for us.

Alameda Ta’amu, NT, WashingtonThis is one of the best nose tackles in the draft. We brought back Antonio Garay for a couple of seasons, but he won’t be here much longer than that.

Trumaine Johnson, CB, MontanaJohnson is a tall corner with good speed. We have to start looking at possibilities to replace Quentin Jammer now.

Brandon Taylor, S, LSUAfter Mark Barron and Harrison Smith were drafted, there are only scraps left in the secondary for us to choose from.

George Iloka, S, Boise StateThis would be my next choice to bring in at safety, if he is available for us.

Jonathan Martin, OT, StanfordJust because the Jared Gaither has had a history of being lazy and we do have Jeromey Clary on the other side, it would be nice to bring in a tackle that can push them.

Mike Adams, OT, Ohio StateAnother tackle for us to to consider.

Lavonte David, LB, NebraskaWhy do I have another LB on this list? I just love this guy too much to take him off! Just put him on the field and he will make some plays. I still think he can be converted to safety.

What players are you eyeing today?
