Morning Dump

The San Diego Chargers re-signed fullback and special teams captain Jacob Hester to a one-year deal and added another free agent, tackle Mario Henderson, on Friday.
On Sunday Apr. 15, the University of San Diego will hold auditions for the 2012 Charger Girls professional team. The check-in registration is at 9 a.m., followed by the auditions at 10 a.m.
The San Diego Chargers have had major turnover at the running back position over the last few years as veteran icons like LaDanian Tomlinson, Darren Sproles and now Mike Tolbert have moved on. Ryan Mathew remains for the Bolts, but the team also needed to secure another free agent in Jacob Hester. Less than two weeks before the 2012 NFL Draft, the team has done just that, signing their 2008 draft pick to a one-year deal.
Fullback Jacob Hester and tackle Mario Henderson had until Monday to respond to the Chargers’ contract offer.
