The Week That Was… Happy Easter Everyone

By Ernie Padaon

We started out the week with Nike unveiling the new uniforms for all the teams. The Bolts unis remained unchanged.

We also started out the week with Ryan Leaf getting arrested for the 2nd time in 3 days. It is just a sad story with Ryan and all the troubles that he is going through.

Bryan Walters signed with the Minnesota Vikings and the Chargers decided to bring on a couple of return specialists. We signed Roscoe Parrish and Micheal Spurlock to compete for kick return and punt return duties with Eddie Royal and Richard Goodman.

We learned the Chargers pre-season schedule:

Week 1, August 9, vs Green Bay Packers, 5pm ESPN Week 2, TBD, vs Dallas Cowboys Week 3, TBD, AT Minnesota Vikings Week 4, August 30, AT San Francisco 49ers, TBD

and also learned what numbers the new players on the team would be wearing:

#6: Charlie Whitehurst#11: Eddie Royal#12: Robert Meachem#13: Roscoe Parrish#33: Le’Ron McClain#58: Demorrio Williams#87: Micheal Spurlock#88: Dante Rosario#96: Jarret Johnson#50: Ricky Elmore#41: Nick Polk

The Chargers brought back DE Luis Castillo and he will be competing for a starting DE spot with Vaughn Martin. He will add depth on the front line.

Antonio Gates avoided the Madden curse by losing in his bracket to Cam Newton.

This week, we also heard the audio from Saints DC Gregg Williams. He is one CRAZY CRAZY man!

Let’s see what this week will bring us. Hopefully we can get that backup runningback signed onto the roster soon.
