Harrison Smith At Notre Dame Pro Day Today

Today was Notre Dame’s Pro Day and a lot of teams were there watching WR Michael Floyd, but the Chargers should have been getting another look at SS Harrison Smith. Bears coach Lovie Smith and Bengals coach Marvin Lewis were present, but I didn’t see any listing of Chargers personnel at the event.
Here is some video from his Pro Day today:
Smith chose not to run and rested on what he did at the combine.
NFL analyst Mike Mayock shared his thoughts on Smith:
“This kid looks so smooth Great footwork. I think Mark Barron, the safety from Alabama, is in the top 20. Harrison should be the next safety. I see him late first round, but probably the top half of the second round. He’s 6-foot-2, 215 pounds with great movement skills. Somebody’s going to get a steal with Harrison Smith.”
And here is Smith’s thoughts on his performance:
“It’s a whole process. I showed them this is who I am. If people like it, I’m happy. Since this process started, I’ve done nothing but help myself.”
There has been a lot of buzz around Harrison Smith and the possibilities of adding him to our roster. He looks like a great fit for the team and would sit nicely in the secondary with Eric Weddle. Don’t know if he will fall to us in the second round, but I will be crossing my fingers.
