Morning Dump
One more day and we get to that weekend!!!
Based on the result of Sunday’s AFC Championship, either Chargers running back Ryan Mathews or wide receiver Vincent Jackson will lock up a Hawaii roster spot for the Jan. 29 All-Star game.
The Chargers take offensive lineman Cordy Glenn with the No. 18 pick. Glenn is listed as a guard, but Kiper sees him playing anywhere on the line and the Chargers could use help at tackle. Philip Rivers would surely be happy with the addition of a new offensive lineman anywhere in front of him.
My take: The offensive line may be an area of immediate need if guard Kris Dielman, tackle Marcus McNeill and center Nick Hardwick don’t come back. So, this selection makes sense. But there is also a chance the offensive line question will be answered by the draft. If so, the Chargers would look for defense help early.
UPDATE: Chargers cornerback Shareece Wright pulled his Twitter account Tuesday, a day after his tweets on the team’s possible move to Los Angles caused a stir.
