Chargers Personnel Director a Candidate for Bears GM Job

The Chargers personnel director, Jimmy Raye, is being mentioned around the Chicago area as a possible candidate for the General Manager opening with the Bears.
Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune tweeted this today:
Here’s yet another name in the Bears GM mix: Jimmy Raye, Chargers personnel director.

Raye oversees the Chargers’ professional and college scouting departments and assists on player personnel matters. He joined the team in 1996 and spent four years (1996-99) as a scout and eight (2000-07) as director of college scouting. – chargers.com
Raye has been part of the scouting team for a long time and this could be his opportunity to make the calls with personnel decisions. If he got the job, I wonder if he would look to bring a certain Chargers WR onto the Bears as his first move?
