I wanna take a morning dump in Dean Spanos for bringing back AJ and Norv.

SAN DIEGO — San Diego Chargers President Dean Spanos didn’t feel he had to issue any ultimatums when he made the unpopular decision to bring back coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith despite the team missing the playoffs for the second straight season.

That was the look in the eyes of incredulous Chargers fans upon learning San Diego is keeping Norv Turner and A.J. Smith, the coach and general manager presiding over the current mediocrity.

Now that San Diego coach Norv Turner and general manager A.J. Smith are returning to the team in 2012, let’s look at some things the Chargers have going for them and areas where change may be necessary.
