Morning Dump

Merry Christmas everyone! As Chargers fans, this weekend won’t be perfect! Our Bolts broke our hearts again and the team came out without any fight to finish off this year. Just like we say in San Diego, “Maybe next year.”

With their fans chanting “PLAYOFFS” for the final minutes, Detroit got there for the first time since 1999 after Matthew Stafford threw three touchdown passes in the first half to beat the Chargers 38-10 Saturday.

That would be difficult to argue given the fact the Detroit Lions led by 24 points at halftime, the Chargers didn’t score until the third quarter and went on to lose 38-10 in a game they had to win for meaning to continue in their season.

When members of the “Who Dat Nation” raise their toast glasses over the next few days, they should bring one up high for A.J. Smith.

You might ask who A.J. Smith is. If you don’t know Smith is the general manager of the San Diego Chargers.
