Head Coach Firing Frenzy, Could the Chargers be Next?

This week we have seen head coaches from college teams falling victim to the axe.  Today, a NFL head coach felt that same sharp edge.  Jaguars Del Rio who was hired by the Jaguars in 2003 was released.  Del Rio finishes his career in Jacksonville with a 69-73 overall record, including a 1-2 mark in the postseason. His team hasn’t made the playoffs since 2007, when Jacksonville finished 11-5 and qualified as a wild card.

The Jaguars are currently 3-8 and will be visited by the San Diego Chargers, who are currently 4-7, for a Monday Night Football match up.  It will be interesting to see if Norv Turner is still the head coach on Monday.

Media reports and news coming out of Chargers park make things look ominous for Turner who has pretty much given up and is phoning it in.  I believe he has already been told to start looking and therefore is letting the team down by not making an effort.  I have seen Norv stink it up for a long time, but this is the worst I have seen it.

Turners contract is not up until 2013, but we can only hope that the Spanos’ family has or can make the right decision for our Chargers.

Fire Norv Now!!!
