The Denver Broncos Executive Vice President of Football Operations recently said during his weekly radio show that quarterback Tim Tebow needs to do better on third downs and improve his passing. Elway was asked if the young signal-caller’s recent success ended any issues at the position and simply replied, “No.”
A quarterback who ran the wishbone offense in high school, Cornell-educated wide receiver Bryan Walters played the part of the Denver Broncos’ Tim Tebow in practice this week. With the defensive staff’s direction, Walters has been trying to give the Chargers defense a look at Tebow’s technique and tendencies.
This season the San Diego Chargers have been hit with numerous injuries. Of those injuries, concussions seem to really be taking their toll. So far five players have received concussions and of those five, two players have been placed on injured reserve and are out for the season.
The San Diego Chargers got good injury news when running back Ryan Mathews practiced fully for the first time this week with a knee injury. He is probable to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos. San Diego linebacker Shaun Philips is listed as questionable to play Sunday. He has been out for several weeks with a foot injury. He is expected to play in passing situations Sunday.
